Sunshine Mule Cocktail Recipe
The traditional Moscow Mule cocktail recipe is cool and refreshing, and has the zing of lime, fizz of ginger beer and smooth vodka. But, with added sun-associated ingredients like honey and orange, each sip of this Sunshine cocktail version is filled with feel-good, liquid sunlight. Here’s how to make it at home.

Sunshine Moscow Mule Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- Gently peel 1 lime, avoiding any citrus on the peels. Add to glass jar and pour in vodka. Infuse for 1-2 hours, and it should become a gentle green color. If you don’t want to infuse your own lime vodka, you can opt for normal vodka, or try store-bought lime vodka.
- To your cup, squeeze in fresh lime, cleansing away any unwanted energy or vibrations.
- Pour in soothing, solar honey, brightening triple sec or orange curaçao, vodka, and ice. If added options orange bitters or orange juice, add now.
- Pour in activating ginger beer and stir. Adjust lime, honey or ginger beer to taste, if needed.
- Garnish with your choice of: lime or orange peel spritz, or solar flower like chamomile or calendula. If using orange blossom or flower water, spritz the top after adding garnish for a magical aroma.

With lots of easy ways to customize the recipe, you can easily make this Moscow mule nonalcoholic. I’ve tried this ginger beer mocktail with and without nonalcoholic spirits, too. Using peels to get the bitter citrus oils, honey, and the classic lime and ginger beer, each sip of this Moscow mule mocktail is a mouthful of sunshine.
