A honey old fashioned with subtle floral notes, and smooth-as-honey mouthfeel. Made with apple and lavender to celebrate the start of the harvest season, this harvest drink is a sweet sip of summer’s bright abundance.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 ounces bourbon or rye whiskey
  • .5 ounce apple liqueur such as Calvados or apple brandy
  • .5 ounce honey syrup 1:1 equal parts honey and water
  • 4 drops lavender bitters
  • 1 orange peel for garnish

Method
 

  1. In an old fashioned glass, add your bourbon, apple liqueur, honey syrup, and bitters.
  2. Add a large cub and stir.
  3. Spritz with an orange peel, then twist it and garnish upon the edge of the glass.
