Ingredients
Method
- Place rosemary and syrup into highball glass. Muddle together, allowing rosemary to express its oils into the syrup (if you aren’t using a rosemary simple syrup, that is). Add in orange juice, lemon and cranberry juice. Add ice, then pour in vodka, orange liqueur, and soda water if desired. Additionally, you can save the cranberry juice for last, to have a color effect with red at the top and yellow at the bottom, until you stir together before sipping. Garnish with rosemary, perhaps candied cranberry and orange.
Notes
Simple Syrup is equal parts sugar to hot water. It keeps a level of consistency in sweetness from drink to drink. Simply mix equal parts of sugar and hot water, and allow to cool before use. For this recipe, I recommend pouring the hot water over rosemary (dried or fresh) and letting it steep like a tea for 5 minutes before mixing in the sugar. This allows for a fun and easy way to add nuanced and unique flavors to your concoctions.
