Black Heart Cocktail - An Addams Family Drink

A cherry, rose, and chile mezcal drink recipe, this black heart drink is an Addams family cocktail to celebrate all things occult and macabre. With the correct balance of red, blue, and lime the drink becomes black.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 ounce lime freshly juiced
  • 1/2 ounce agave
  • 8 drops rosewater
  • 2.5-3 ounces unsweetened tart cherry juice I used Ocean Spray
  • 1/4 ounce blue curaçao
  • 1 barspoon absinthe or 1/8 ounce
  • 1.5 ounces mezcal
  • 2 red dried Chile peppers

  1. Sprinkle edible black cocktail glitter into rose cubes. Pour in cherry juice and freeze.
Black Heart Cocktail Instructions
  1. In your shaker, add lime, chile, rosewater, cherry juice, and agave.
  2. Pour in blue curaçao, abinsthe, and mezcal.
  3. Add ice and shake.
  4. Strain into finished glass. Adjust cherry, blue, and lime as needed for black color.
  5. Garnish with rose petals and/or sparkling rose ice cube.
