Notes

*Don’t let the title dissuade you - rose-vanilla simple syrup is easy to make! Just pour 1/2 cup hot water over 1 tablespoon dried rose petals (you can find rose tea at the grocery store, if need be!) and 1-inch slice of vanilla bean. Let steep for 5 minutes, then add in 1/2 cup of sugar. You can also substitute the syrup  1/2 ounce rose liqueur + 1/4 ounce simple or vanilla syrup.
