Aquarius Moon Mocktail

Aquarius Moon Mix (Non-Alcoholic)

Inspire the creative, optimistic, boundless energies of the Aquarius New Moon with this tangy cherry, lemon, and sage spritzer.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Red apple quarter slices
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1/2 ounce sage simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce cherry juice
  • 1 ounce soda water (I used lemon soda water)

Instructions

  • Place apple slice, rosemary, and syrup in a cocktail shaker. Muddle ingredients, so that the apple and rosemary is expressed into the syrup and broken up. Add in lemon, juice, vodka, ice and shake. Strain into a glass over ice and top with bubbles of choice. Garnish with crescent apple slice to represent the moon and rosemary sprig. Additionally, you can lightly burn the rosemary to produce some cleansing smoke or for a smoked aroma as sipping your concoction.

Notes

A note on the Sage Simple Syrup ~
Simple Syrup is equal parts sugar to hot water. It keeps a level of consistency in sweetness from drink to drink. Simply mix equal parts of sugar and hot water, and allow to cool before use. For this recipe, I recommend pouring 1/4 cup hot water over 5+ culinary sage leaves (dried or fresh) and letting it steep like a tea for 5 minutes before mixing in the sugar. This allows for a fun and easy way to add nuanced and unique flavors to your concoctions. Additionally, you can heat the syrup over the stove if desired.
